Settings

Configure your account, organization profile, and integrations.

Settings is where you configure your SMVue account, manage integrations, and customize your experience.

Access Settings by clicking your profile picture → Settings.

Organization Profile

Configure your company information:

Company Details

  • Organization Name — Your company name
  • Industry — Select from dropdown (SaaS, Professional Services, etc.)
  • Selling Motion — How you sell (Transactional, Consultative, Enterprise)
  • Target Customer Size — SMB, Mid-Market, or Enterprise

Why This Matters:

  • Helps SMVue tailor coaching recommendations to how you sell
  • Influences cadence recommendations

To Update:

  1. Go to Settings > Organization
  2. Edit fields
  3. Click Save

User Profile

Manage your personal account:

Profile Information

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Profile picture
  • Timezone

To Update:

  1. Go to Settings > Profile
  2. Edit fields
  3. Click Save

Password

Change your password:

  1. Go to Settings > Security
  2. Click Change Password
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter new password (min 8 characters)
  5. Confirm new password
  6. Click Update

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Enable TOTP-based 2FA on your account:

  1. Go to Settings > Security
  2. Click Enable MFA
  3. Scan QR code with authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password)
  4. Enter 6-digit code to verify
  5. Save backup codes (for account recovery)

Best Practice: Enable MFA for an extra layer of account security.

Integrations

Manage your CRM and calendar connections:

CRM Integration

  • View connection status
  • Last sync time
  • Manual sync button
  • Reconnect or disconnect

Available CRMs:

  • HubSpot
  • Salesforce
  • Pipedrive

Notifications

Configure email and in-app notifications:

Email Notifications

  • Daily Digest — Daily summary of your team (morning email)
  • Meeting Reminders — Reminder to prepare for 1:1s (1 day before)
  • Action Item Reminders — Reminder for overdue action items
  • Deal Alerts — Notifications when deals move or go at-risk
  • Product Updates — News about new SMVue features

To Configure:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications
  2. Toggle email types on/off
  3. Changes save automatically

In-App Notifications

  • Action items assigned to you
  • Team member updates

Badge Counts:

  • Show unread count
  • Clear by viewing notifications
  • Can disable in Settings

Session Management

View and manage active sessions:

Active Sessions

  • See all devices/browsers logged into your account
  • View last active time and IP address
  • Revoke individual sessions

To Revoke Session:

  1. Go to Settings > Security > Sessions
  2. Find session to revoke
  3. Click Revoke
  4. Confirm

Use Case: Revoke sessions from old devices or suspicious activity.

Team Settings (Admin/Owner Only)

Member Management

  • View all organization members
  • Invite new members
  • Change seat types
  • Remove members
  • View pending invitations

To Invite Member:

  1. Go to Settings > Team
  2. Click Invite Member
  3. Enter email
  4. Select seat type (Manager, Executive, Rep)
  5. Assign manager (for Reps)
  6. Send invitation

To Change Seat Type:

  1. Go to Settings > Team
  2. Find member
  3. Click Change Seat Type
  4. Select new type (billing only changes for paid Manager seats; Rep and Executive seats are free)
  5. Confirm

To Remove Member:

  1. Go to Settings > Team
  2. Find member
  3. Click Remove
  4. Confirm (cannot undo)

What Happens When Removed:

  • User loses access immediately
  • Historical data preserved
  • Seat freed up for new user
  • Email can be reused for different user

Transfer Ownership

Owner can transfer ownership to another admin:

  1. Go to Settings > Organization
  2. Click Transfer Ownership
  3. Select new owner
  4. Confirm transfer
  5. You become Admin (lose Owner privileges)

Cannot Undo: Contact support if transferred by mistake.

Data & Privacy

Export Your Data

To request a copy of your organization's data, contact support@smvue.com.

Delete Your Data

Permanently delete your organization and all data:

  1. Go to Settings > Data & Privacy
  2. Click Delete Organization
  3. Type organization name to confirm
  4. Click Permanently Delete

Warning: Cannot undo. All data deleted permanently.

Alternative: Archive team members instead of deleting org.

Troubleshooting

Cannot save settings

Issue: Settings changes not persisting

Solutions:

  • Check internet connection
  • Verify you have admin/owner permissions
  • Try different browser
  • Clear browser cache
  • Contact support if issue persists

MFA not working

Issue: 6-digit code not accepted

Solutions:

  • Ensure time is synced on your device (TOTP requires accurate time)
  • Try next code (codes refresh every 30 seconds)
  • Use backup code if locked out
  • Contact support to disable MFA if truly locked out
