General
What is SMVue?
SMVue is the command center for sales managers. It helps you prep your 1:1s, see which reps need attention, and flag deals that are slipping — all built on your actual CRM data. Your CRM is a rearview mirror; SMVue is the windshield.
Who is SMVue for?
SMVue is built for sales managers who coach AEs, SDRs, or CSMs. If you run 1:1 meetings and need to coach your team effectively, SMVue is for you.
Do my reps need SMVue accounts?
Reps get free rep seats with read-only access to their own data. It's optional but recommended — transparency builds accountability.
Does SMVue integrate with my CRM?
Yes. SMVue supports HubSpot and Salesforce, with Pipedrive in beta. We sync your deals, contacts, leads, and activities automatically.
Does SMVue write data back to my CRM?
We don't modify your CRM records — your contacts, deals, and activities are read-only. There are two exceptions, and neither touches your existing CRM data: if you connect a calendar, SMVue can create meeting events on that calendar; and any records you create in SMVue's own Native CRM are first-party SMVue data.
Is my data secure?
Yes. SMVue uses industry-standard encryption and OAuth 2.0 authentication. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and access is logged. SMVue operates a SOC 2 Type II readiness program (policies and procedures ratified June 2026). Your data is never shared with other customers or used to train models.
Pricing & Billing
How much does SMVue cost?
The manager seat is $150/month — and it's the only paid seat. Rep seats and executive seats are both free and read-only. Need multiple manager seats for a larger team? That's custom pricing — contact us. For current pricing, see Settings → Billing in the app or ask the in-app support chat — it always shows live prices.
Are rep seats free?
Yes. Rep seats are free and unlimited. Executive seats are free and read-only too. The manager seat is the only paid seat.
Can I try SMVue for free?
Yes. Every account starts with a 14-day free trial. Billing begins on day 15.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access through the end of your billing period.
Setup & Onboarding
How long does setup take?
About 10 minutes. Connect your CRM, set up your team, and you're ready. The initial CRM sync takes a few minutes depending on data volume.
Do I need to install anything?
No. SMVue runs in your browser. Access it from any browser at app.smvue.com.
What if I have multiple sales managers?
Multiple manager seats are custom pricing — contact us. Each manager sees their own team and coaches independently.
Can I import my existing coaching notes?
Yes. You can import notes from Markdown or plain text files. Go to Notebooks → Import.
Features
How does Sales Coach work?
Sales Coach uses AI to answer questions about your team using your real data. It reads your synced CRM data, your metrics, your coaching notes, and meeting context, then drafts an answer grounded in that data. Ask it about a deal, a rep, your pipeline, or your quota pacing.
What's Meeting Prep?
Meeting Prep generates a "Game Plan" for each 1:1 — a coaching brief that highlights what's working, what needs attention, and suggested talking points.
How often does data sync from my CRM?
SMVue syncs automatically via webhooks, plus scheduled and manual resync. Updates typically land within a few minutes. You can always click Sync Now in Settings → Integrations to force a refresh.
Can I customize the Dashboard?
The Dashboard isn't customizable today — it automatically surfaces the reps and deals that need attention first, based on activity, pipeline, and quota signals.
Do you have a mobile app?
Not yet, but app.smvue.com works well on mobile browsers. A native mobile app is on our roadmap.
Sales Coach
How many questions can I ask Sales Coach?
Sales Coach runs under a fair-use budget that applies to your whole organization. If you hit the limit, the chat shows the reset time.
Does Sales Coach remember previous conversations?
Each conversation thread keeps its own history while you're in it. Sales Coach does not learn about your team or change its behavior over time — it answers fresh from your current data each time.
Can Sales Coach access my CRM?
Sales Coach uses the data you've already synced to SMVue. It doesn't connect directly to your CRM.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Your data is never used to train models.
Team Management
How do I add team members?
Go to Team → Add Team Member (manual) or Import from CRM (automatic from CRM users who own deals).
Can team members see each other's data?
- Managers see only reps assigned to them
- Executives see all team members (read-only)
- Reps see only their own data
What if a rep leaves?
Archive them from their profile. Historical data is preserved but they disappear from active views. Their email can be reused for a new rep.
Can I assign quotas?
Yes. Set quotas for each rep from their profile. Track revenue, deal count, or activities. Quotas factor into attention scoring.
Integrations
Which CRMs do you support?
HubSpot and Salesforce are supported. Pipedrive is in beta. Let us know what else you need.
Can I connect multiple CRMs?
Not currently. You can connect one CRM per organization.
Do I have to connect my calendar?
No, it's optional. Calendar integration helps with meeting prep reminders, but you can still use SMVue without it.
What calendars do you support?
Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar (Microsoft 365), both in beta.
Data & Privacy
Where is my data stored?
SMVue uses Google Cloud (US region) for data storage. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Contact support@smvue.com to request a copy of your organization's data. (Individual notebooks can also be exported from Notebooks in Markdown, JSON, CSV, or DOCX.)
Who can see my organization's data?
Only users in your organization. Each customer's data is isolated by organization — one customer cannot see another's data.
Do you sell my data?
Never. SMVue does not sell or share customer data with third parties.
Troubleshooting
My CRM data isn't syncing
Check Settings → Integrations to see sync status. Try clicking Sync Now to force a refresh. If the issue persists, try reconnecting your CRM.
I'm locked out of my account
Reset your password at the login page. If you have MFA enabled and lost access to your authenticator, email support@smvue.com with your account email.
The Dashboard is slow or not loading
Try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, clear your browser cache or try a different browser. Contact support if the problem continues.
Sales Coach isn't responding
Check that you haven't hit the fair-use limit. Ensure you have an active internet connection. Try refreshing the page.
